League result rate filter: home, draw, away bias

What the league result rate filter does

Every league has a structural fingerprint: how often home teams win, how often matches end level, how often visitors take the points. This filter computes each league's rate of a chosen 3-way outcome over its last 50 settled matches, as a 0 to 1 fraction, and keeps only matchups from leagues whose rate sits inside your band. Leagues with no settled history are excluded. Because the window rolls, the selection adapts as league characteristics drift.

Why league bias matters for strategy design

Most betting angles implicitly assume a league environment. A draw strategy needs draw-prone leagues; a home favorites system lives on home advantage; an away value angle wants leagues where road teams actually deliver. Hardcoding league names gets you there once, but biases move: home advantage has eroded in some competitions and persists in others. Selecting leagues by measured bias keeps the strategy pointed at the property you actually care about, not at a list that was true when you built it.

Example strategies

• Keep leagues whose draw rate over the last 50 matches is at least 30 percent, then buy draws at prices above 3.20 with an odds range.
• Build a home-fade angle in leagues where the home win rate has slipped under 40 percent, targeting markets still pricing yesterday's home advantage.

Combining it with other filters

This filter chooses the environment; pair it with team-level conditions to pick the matchups inside it, such as last N result rate or BTTS rate. Cross it with league liquidity to control how sharp those biased leagues are, since a bias in a soft market is worth more than the same bias in a sharp one. This is a Pro filter.
