What the league filter does

The league filter is as simple as it is essential: pick one or more leagues, and the strategy only considers matchups played in them. Select several and they combine with OR logic, so a strategy can cover, say, the Premier League, the Championship and League One at once while ignoring everything else.

Why leagues are where edges live

Betting markets are not equally sharp everywhere. Top competitions attract huge volume and near-perfect pricing, while smaller leagues carry softer, slower lines. Team behavior also differs: some leagues are draw-heavy, some are high scoring, some have brutal travel schedules. A pattern that prints profit in the Turkish second division may lose money in the Bundesliga. Restricting a strategy to specific leagues keeps your sample coherent and makes the backtest actually mean something.
