What the BTTS rate filter does

Both teams to score is one of the most popular soccer markets, and this filter measures the underlying tendency: across a team's last N matches, in what share did both sides find the net? You set a minimum and maximum on that rate. A min of 70 percent selects teams whose matches almost always feature goals at both ends; a max of 30 percent selects the opposite profile, teams involved in one-sided or goalless matches. The filter is available in soccer and hockey, the two sports where the both-teams-score pattern is a meaningful market signal.

Why BTTS tendency is a real team trait

BTTS is a style statistic more than a strength statistic. Open, transitional teams that press high and leave space behind produce BTTS matches whether they win or lose; cautious blocks that protect a lead produce clean sheets or narrow defeats. Because it is orthogonal to the win-loss record, BTTS tendency often persists even as results fluctuate, and it directly prices two markets: BTTS itself, and totals, since both-teams-scoring matches skew over.

• Keep matchups where the home team's BTTS rate over its last 10 is at least 70 percent, as the foundation of a BTTS-yes strategy.
• Use a low maximum, say 30 percent over the last 10, to find defensive profiles feeding an unders strategy alongside a scoring rate condition.

Combining it with other filters

BTTS tendencies sharpen when both teams agree: add a second BTTS rate leaf on the away side so the profile holds on both ends.
