What the H2H results streak filter does

This filter checks the side's most recent head-to-head meetings with the exact opponent it is about to face, and keeps the matchup when they all ended with your chosen metric: win, draw, loss, or the looser non-win, non-draw and non-loss variants. You bound the run with a minimum streak length and an optional maximum. Three straight wins over a rival is a very different statement from a 60 percent rate over 10 meetings: the streak captures the current direction of the rivalry.

Why bogey teams are worth testing

Every fan knows a bogey team: the opponent a club simply cannot beat, year after year. Sometimes it is a genuine style mismatch that persists as long as both squads keep their identity; sometimes it is pure narrative built on a handful of coin flips. The market usually prices teams on overall strength, not pairings, so if persistent matchup effects exist, they are underweighted in the odds, and if they do not, the fade side of the narrative can be the value. A streak filter lets you test both directions with real money rules instead of anecdotes.

Example strategies

• Back a side that has won its last 3 or more meetings with today's opponent while being priced as the underdog: history against market.
• Fade the narrative: bet on the team on a 4-match losing run in the pairing when the price on it has drifted beyond what general form justifies.

Combining it with other filters
