Value home favorites betting system
A first real multi-filter system: a home favorite at a fair price, in decent form, playing in a league liquid enough to trust the odds.
Single filters teach; stacked filters select. This template combines four independent conditions so that every qualifying match is a home favorite with a case behind it, not just a short price.
How the filter tree works
- Favorite side: the home team is the market favorite.
- Odds range: the home moneyline closes between 1.50 and 2.20, cutting unbackable short prices.
- Recent results rate: the home team won at least 50% of its last 10 matches at any venue.
- League liquidity: the league's closing liquidity sits between 8,000 and 1,000,000, keeping the sample in seriously traded markets.
All four must hold at once, an AND stack.
What to watch
- Each added filter shrinks the sample. Check the bets-per-season count before judging the curve.
- The conditions overlap: favorites in liquid leagues usually have decent form anyway, so the stack may filter less than it seems.
- Stacking filters is where overfitting starts. Change one threshold and see how fragile the result is.
Tweaks to try
- Raise the form bar to 60% and compare.
- Widen the odds band to 1.40 to 2.40 for more volume.
- Remove one filter at a time to learn which condition actually earns its place.
